It Finally feels like the Holiday's..

I went to the salon yesterday,
and this is what I walked out with....

Don't ask me how this happened,
but I'm pretty sure the 90's want their skunk stripes back.

Now I'm off to repair this damage.
Try not to lose too much sleep over this.

One Day....(sigh)

I totally discovered some fabulous fabrics today while working on a current design project, and it occurred to me that it probably isn't a good thing that I chose interior design as a career. I swear it only makes me depressed, due to the fact that I get to create other people's dream homes, but then I have to return to my humble abode at the end of the day. Not that my apartment is all that awful or anything.. it just that I'm always wanting to change or upgrade something, and I want it done all at once of course, which totally drives Jon up the wall I'm sure. Not to mention the fact that when people come over to visit, they expect our home to be exquisite, and seem to forget that we are still poor newlyweds.

I sure am learning to just appreciate what we do have.. but it sure gets tough. I sure hope the day comes sooner than later when I can actually have my home look the way I want it.. and hopefully it will look something like this...

I apologize for all of the boring design posts.. but hey it's my blog.. and it's what I love.

Too Early?

So I'm claiming it right now..
I have just decided that I LOVE the name Emmy for a girl.
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE IT.

Maybe it's just because I'm obsessed with the girl on Phantom of the Opera.
Or the fact that I originally wanted to name my little girl Emery,
but I sometimes wonder if it's a little too much.

This is not hinting in any shape or form that we are having kids any time soon.
I mean lets get real, it will be a few more years.
(So I don't want to hear anything out of you Barb)

But just warning everyone in advance..
don't steal my name.
And if you do..
don't cry to me that my kid still ends up being cooler than yours.

Now I need to clear it by Jon..
Not that he really has much of a say,
since I'm the one that has to freaking deliver the child.

McElle and I went to the SYTYCD tour lastnight..
and it was oh so good.

We had awesome seats!!
Other than the fact..
Mary Murphy's sister
(I'm seriously convinced it was her)
was sitting directly behind us,
and was so loud and overly annoying.

She would put Barb to shame at a Viewmont game.

Even got a snapshot of Phillip,
Jon's secret crush.

I'll be back next season,
for the 4th time.
(I already told you.. it's an addiction)
